Simple proofreading — checking for errors and correcting them — costs $40 per hour.

Our proofreaders work at the rate of approximately 10 pages of double-spaced typescript, or 3000 words, per hour.

A technical document, with lots of symbols, diagrams and tables, will be slower to proofread than text, and will thus cost more per page.

Copy-editing — correcting English expression and grammar along with proofreading — costs $50 per hour. If bibliographic formatting is required, this rate applies.

Billing can be done on a cost per word basis, at the rate of $13.00 per 1000 words.

Discounts are available in some circumstances, and for extended manuscripts.
